JARC, three others, hiring for personal care jobs

JARC, an organization serving people with disabilities, is teaming up with three local nonprofit agencies to host its first annual job fair Wednesday, March 18 with more than 100 positions available.

JARC, JVS, Angel’s Place and Kadima are looking to fill a variety of full, part-time and occasional direct care staff positions, which provide support, interaction and care for people with developmental disabilities of all ages.

These are positions in personal care, teaching skills and accompanying individuals to activities in the community. The organizations are also looking to hire people who are fluent in American Sign Language. An interpreter will be onsite from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

“We’re always looking for energetic and talented individuals who have a passion for helping and serving people with disabilities to work in our group homes, individual homes and family homes in the community," said Lisa Rothberger, Chief Talent Officer for JARC.

The job fair will be held at JARC’s main office at 30301 Northwestern Highway, in Farmington Hills from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Interested candidates need to bring a recent resume, have a valid Michigan driver’s license, be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma/GED.
