Casting directors for Bravo’s “Top Chef” reality competition series will come to Detroit next month to meet with potential contestants by appointment.

The casting call will be 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Feb. 1 at Mabel Gray, 23825 John R in Hazel Park. The popular, award-winning restaurant is owned and operated by “Top Chef” alum James Rigato.

Chefs looking to get an appointment for Feb. 1 should e-mail topchefcasting@magicalelves.com or visit Bravotv.com/topchefcasting for more information.

No word yet on which city will be the show’s 16th host city, but producers told The Detroit News earlier this month that filming will start in the spring.

The reality competition cooking show – hosted by Padma Lakshmi and featuring judge and celebrity chef Tom Colicchio – has made stars out of many of its winners. In season 12 Dearborn native Mei Lin won the show, which also featured Rigato.

Additional casting meet-and-greets will take place next month in Chicago, New York, Nashville, Philadelphia, Houston, Miami and San Francisco.
