Fraser man charged in alleged abduction, sexual assault

A Fraser man was charged this week in connection with an alleged abduction and sexual assault.

Mario Davis, 39, allegedly abducted a woman at gunpoint in Detroit on Sunday, according to a press release from Fraser police.

Davis was accused of driving the woman to a house on the 16000 block of 13 Mile, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.

Fraser police later arrested Davis as he was trying to leave to home, according to the release.

Investigators with a search warrant found other evidence and the gun as described in the home, according to the release.

Davis' attorney, Gary Francis Kennedy II, did not immediately respond to a request for comment Friday.

A 39th District Court judge arraigned Davis on Tuesday on three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a weapon and three counts of using a firearm weapon while committing a felony.

Davis is being held at the Macomb County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
