Macomb Community College is the latest two-year institution to form a partnership with Wayne State University, guaranteeing MCC transfer students admission to WSU.

The institutions signed a Transfer Pathways Agreement on Wednesday so MCC transfer students who have earned an associate degree avoid losing time and money for credits earned while transitioning with junior status to one of 20 academic programs at Wayne State that will lead to a baccalaureate degree.

Wayne State has similar agreements with Oakland Community College, Schoolcraft College, Wayne County Community College District, Jackson College and Henry Ford College, said WSU spokeswoman Carol Baldwin.

“Plans are to expand to other community college partners,” Baldwin said.
