Everett "Tim" R. Labadie, Jr., 93, of Trenton, Michigan passed away on August 19, 2023, following issues from Alzheimer's. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Tim was born April 19, 1930, in Windsor, Ontario to Georgina E. Murray and Everett R. Labadie, Sr. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1953. Tim worked for the Remington Rand Company and then the Burroughs Corporation for 20 years, followed by a successful 25-year career in Real Estate in the downriver area. He always enjoyed meeting and talking to people, he knew all the neighbors and he was great at telling jokes. His favorite joke was to ask cashiers, "Do you take Canadian?".
Tim is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Nancy J. Labadie; 3 children Tim (Gloria) Labadie, Sue Labadie-Taylor, Kathy Huver; 8 grandchildren Laura (Ryan) Poff, Jennifer (Robert) Whiteaker, Kelle (Bruce) Huver, Rachel Huver, Kyle Labadie, Ian Taylor, Katy Labadie, Creedence Labadie; 7 great grandchildren, Addisyn, Ella, Lachlan, Briana, Taylor, Dylan and Kali; his sister Mary Alsobrooks and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 am on May 15, 2024 at the First Presbyterian Church of Trenton, 2799 West Road, Trenton Michigan, 48183. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association. act.alz.org.
