A Hogwarts-themed feast and other 'Harry Potter' events coming up in Metro Detroit

Grab your invisibility cloak and head out for some wizardly fun around town this season, all in the name of "Harry Potter." 

The book and movie series has inspired trivia games, Halloween parties and even a multi-course feast. Given that the first book was published more than 20 years ago, it's no surprise that many of these events are for adults who have grown up with the series. 

Here are the details for you muggles.

Harry Potter Trivia at Bierkeller: It's free to test your knowledge of Hogwarts and all things "Harry Potter" at this bar trivia game. No registration required, and teams aren't limited to a certain number of people. The winning team gets $50. 9-11 p.m. Oct. 16. 20085 Goddard, Taylor. (734) 250-7358.

Harry Potter Trivia at Canton Brew Works: Free to play, but you must register in advance via Eventbrite.com (search for Harry Potter trivia). Maximum of five players per team; prize is a gift card. 7-9 p.m. Oct. 16 and 23. Free. 8521 Lilley, Canton Township. Eventbrite.com

Wizard Fest at Magic Bag: This Potter-themed dance party starts off with a trivia game, leading into dancing to DJs spinning tunes from the movies as well as hip-hop and R&B from the 1990s and 2000s. Harry Potter Halloween Party at Barnes & Noble: This free event for kids and families will celebrate the magic of the Harry Potter series with hands-on activities, crafts, coloring, trivia and book recommendations. A Very Magical Feast at Frame: Rock City Eatery chef Nikita Sanches presents a multi-course meal inspired by the "Harry Potter" series. Expect a lot of British cuisine and dishes inspired by the series, including toad in a hole, Irish stew, Yorkshire pudding, rumbledethumps, mushy peas, cauldron cake and much more. Dressing up like your favorite Potter character is encouraged. Butter beer and other potions available a la carte. 4 and 7 p.m. Nov. 10.
