Listeners will notice some new voices during the drive-time hours of WJR-AM (760) with tweaks to the morning show and evening sports program.

Award-winning veteran broadcaster Guy Gordon continues his morning slot but with new co-hosts, journalist Lloyd Jackson and WDIV sports anchor Jamie Edmonds. The new show “JR Morning with Guy, Lloyd and Jamie” is 6-9 a.m. weekdays

Former WDIV-TV anchor and reporter Guy Gordon on his first day as host of the Guy Gordon Show on WJR-AM.

Also new to mornings, Renee Vitale joins “First Thing with Mike Parsons” as co-host 5-6 a.m. and is the station’s morning traffic and weather reporter.

Former Detroit Lions player Lomas Brown and WJR’s Sean Baligian are now on the aptly named “Sportswrap with Lomas Brown and Sean Baligian” in the 6 p.m. hour.

“I am pleased that Jamie, Lloyd, Lomas and Renee have agreed to be part of WJR’s great new line up,” said program director Ann Thomas in a press release announcing the new hires. “They all bring a tremendous amount of experience to WJR and our listeners are going to enjoy their contributions to this great radio station.”

The changes come just about four months after a major shift at the station, which moved longtime morning show host Paul W. Smith to a midday show and placed Gordon in the morning spot.
