Hamtramck vs. Dearborn charity basketball game at Hamtramck Community Center

The third annual charity basketball game between schools in Hamtramck and Dearborn is this weekend. Local politicians and community leaders are expected to attend, and proceeds will be split between charities in Palestine and Yemen to help residents pay for Ramadan necessities. “To Kill a Mockingbird” at Fisher Theatre

Chef and artist Roscoe Hall II of Birmingham, Alabama, will come to Birmingham, Michigan, this week for an opening reception and artist talk for his new display “Eidetic Recipes.” Rosco, who competed on season 18 of Bravo’s award-winning competition series “Top Chef” will be part of an artist talk at 11 a.m. Sat. “The Vagina Monologues” at Emerald Theater

Macomb County-based nonprofit Turning Point is hosting its annual performance of “The Vagina Monologues” featuring local speakers and emceed by Rebecca Concepcion and Kevin Johnson. This year the fundraising performance falls on International Women’s Day. The stage production is based on dozens of interviews done by playwright and activist V (formerly Eve Ensler). Michael Kosta at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle

A senior corresponded for “The Daily Show,” stand-up comedian Michael Kosta is in town this weekend for four shows at the Comedy Castle with opener Michael McDaniel and emcee Hannah Osborne. If you don’t know Kosta from the satirical news program, maybe you’ve seen him on “Crowd Goes Wild” on Fox Sports 1 or his podcast “Tennis Anyone.” He’s got a one-hour Comedy Central special titled “Michael Kosta: Detroit. “Material Advantage” at Matrix Theatre
