Astronomicon 7 at Burton Manor

A pop culture convention from hip-hop duo Twiztid, this annual event features appearances by WWE Hall of Famers Mick Foley, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Kane and others, plus actors Michael Rooker, Heather Matarazzo and Jamie Kennedy, UFC and WWE star Matt Riddle and more. Feeding Detroit Together at MGM Grand Detroit

A signature fundraising event for Forgotten Harvest, this benefit has silent and live auctions and plenty of entertainment from comedian Jeff Scheen, speed painter Dave Santia and Metro Detroit band the Killer Flamingos. Opening weekend at Greenfield Village

One of the area’s most popular historic attractions, Greenfield Village opens for the season this weekend. First, a members-only preview will be held on Friday, followed by the public opening on Saturday. “All Things Equal – The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg” at Fisher Theatre

A play by Tony Award-winner Rupert Holmes, “All Things Equal” stars Michelle Azar as Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg in this 90-minute production that is fascinating and funny. The play is a portrayal of RGB that covers the death of her mother, studying law at Harvard while raising a daughter and helping her husband as he fought cancer and her courageous tenure on the United States Supreme Court.
