For those looking to eat before or after shopping, the 1,400-square-foot Birmingham Marrow will have a menu of sandwiches, sausage rolls, snacks and coffee for dine-in or carryout. The menu will be spearheaded by executive chef and partner Sarah Welch and her team. Welch, a James Beard Award-nominated chef, was also a finalist on Bravo’s “Top Chef” season 19.

“Marrow is here to build and support a robust and sustainable food system in partnership with our farmers,” said CEO and founder Ping Ho in a press release. "We are excited to be in our first location outside of Detroit. Our products were so well-received at the Birmingham Farmer’s Market that we were inspired to open a permanent outlet. Now, Oakland County will have a convenient neighborhood store to enjoy a delicious lunch and shop for the locally sourced meats that our iconic Detroit establishment is known for.”

Marrow Detroit Provisions launched in spring 2023 from the West Village butcher shop, focusing on humanely raised animals sourced from local farms. In addition to the original Kercheval location near Van Dyke in Detroit, Marrow Detroit Provisions sells at Eastern Market on Saturdays and at Birmingham’s Farmers Market on select Sundays. Marrow’s line of sausages are also sold at stores across Metro Detroit.

In addition to working on the Birmingham store and cafe, Marrow Detroit Provisions is also planning a flagship store and processing facility in Eastern Market; construction is slated to start soon.Visit marrowdetroitprovisions.com for more information.
