Burrito bowl lovers, rejoice. The doors to downtown Detroit’s first Chipotle Mexican Grill opened Wednesday, just steps from Campus Martius.

Located at 630 Woodward, Suite 620, the Chipotle is open daily from 10:45 a.m.-10 p.m. The new restaurant is one of more than 50 in Michigan, and has a dining room and a walk-up window. Customers can also place carryout orders online for quick pick up.

The Chipotle Mexican Grill logo is seen on a storefront, Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, in Boston.

Known for selling highly customizable burritos, bowls, salads, quesadillas and tacos, this Chipotle also has the new chicken al pastor for a limited time, which is described as having "bold flavors of morita peppers balanced with a splash of pineapple, fresh lime and cilantro."

The downtown Detroit Chipotle accepts catering pick-up or delivery orders online for their burrito boxes, too, with 24-hours notice. Visit chipotle.com for more information.

In other chain restaurant news, downtown Detroit is also expected to get a Dunkin' and a Chick-fil-A soon, also in the Campus Martius area.
