Fried Chicken and Caviar joins BasBlue: As part of its chef-in-residence program, pop-up chefs Nik Cole and Chi Walker of Fried Chicken and Caviar will cook at the BasBue cafe during the week. Wine Stroll in downtown Royal Oak: Walk around downtown Royal Oak and visit more than a dozen participating restaurants for featured wines and hors d’oeuvres at this vino-centric crawl. Novi BBQ Fest at Fountain Walk: National and local pitmasters will fire up their smokers and grills to showcase their best brisket, ribs, pulled pork and more at this Memorial Day weekend festival. Grand Prix packages at Andiamo Riverfront and Joe Muer: The Joe Vicari Restaurant Group is offering special dining and event viewing packages for its two Renaissance Center restaurants during the Grand Prix in downtown Detroit May 31-June 2. Pao Detroit named “Most Beautiful” by People Magazine: People Magazine has released a list of “50 Most Beautiful Restaurants in America” with one business for each state. For Michigan, they’ve listed downtown restaurant Pao Detroit, a property of Barbat Holdings, which also runs Sexy Steak, Aurora Italiana and other upscale restaurants around town.
