Aretha Franklin's 'Greatest Hits' rockets to No. 7
Following her death, the Queen of Soul made her biggest chart impression in nearly 50 years

Following the Queen of Soul's death on Thursday at the age of 76, Franklin earned her highest charting album in nearly 50 years with her "30 Greatest Hits" set, which arrives at No. 7 on Billboard's Top 200 albums chart.
Billboard charts rank sales from Friday through Friday, so "30 Greatest Hits" shot to No. 7 with just one day of chart activity. The set is likely to climb higher on next week's chart.

"30 Greatest Hits," which was released in 1985, sold 13,000 copies during the sales frame and earned another 22,000 sales in track equivalent albums and streaming equivalent albums.
The last time Franklin ranked this high on the chart was in 1972, when her album "Amazing Grace" peaked at No. 7, Billboard reported Sunday.
Travis Scott's "Astroworld" tops this week's Billboard 200, while Nicki Minaj's "Queen" arrives at No. 2.
Drake (No. 3), Trippie Redd (No. 4), Post Malone (No. 5), Juice WRLD (No. 6), Cardi B (No. 8), Jason Mraz (No. 9) and XXXTentacion (No. 10) round out the week's Top 10.
