Metallica's James Hetfield to appear at book signing at Third Man Records in Detroit

Event will take place between the band's two shows at Ford Field.

In his downtime in between his band's two Ford Field concerts, Metallica frontman James Hetfield is making an appearance at Third Man Records.

Hetfield will appear at Third Man's Cass Corridor location at 2 p.m. Nov. 11, Third Man announced Tuesday. He will be doing a signing for his new book, "Messengers: The Guitars of James Hetfield."

Tickets, $110, include a copy of the book and admit two people and are available online.

"Messengers" is a 400 page book that chronicles Hetfield's 40-year history with Metallica and the guitars he's played along the way. The book is due out to the general public on Nov. 21.

Metallica is playing two concerts at Ford Field, Nov. 10 and 12. The two shows promise different set lists each night.
