Kenny Chesney lines up another summer stadium gig in Detroit

Kenny Chesney is making his Ford Field return in 2024, marking his 12th appearance at the downtown stadium.

Chesney will perform at the Detroit Lions' home on Aug. 10, venue officials announced Tuesday.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 17 via Ticketmaster channels.

Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney and Uncle Kracker will join Chesney at the show, part of the beach-country rocker's Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour. The trek kicks off April 20 in Tampa and wraps up Aug. 23 in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Chesney's last Ford Field concert was in Aug. 2022. He previously played the stadium in 2018, 2016, 2015, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2009, 2008, 2007 and 2006, always in August. Aside from the Lions, no one has played Ford Field more.

Over the years his opening acts have included Eric Church (2015, 2013), Kacey Musgraves (2013), Tim McGraw (2012), Miranda Lambert (2009), Luke Bryan (2008) and Carrie Underwood (2006).

Both Zac Brown Band and Uncle Kracker supported Chesney at the 2011 show.
