Name: Rob Zinck & the Collaborators

Sound: Indie rock, punk, alternative

Lineup: Rob Zinck, guitar and vocals; Dan Radlick, bass guitar; Phil Giannotta, drums.

History: Zinck, who was raised in rural Alaska but now calls Metro Detroit home, has been a solo singer and songwriter and a member of several local bands with a handful of releases under his belt.

The latest: Rob Zinck & the Collaborators will celebrate the release of the 11-track album "Swim or Sink" with a show Nov. 18 at the Lager House, 1254 Michigan in Detroit. Support lineup includes indie rock artist Danny VanZandt, the Hourlies and a solo performance from Jon-Mikal Bartee of the Idiot Kids. The show starts at 7 p.m. and there will be a cocktail hour at 8 p.m. with complimentary hor d'oeuvres. The $15 cover charge includes a limited-edition vinyl record of the new album.
