Nicki Minaj announces springtime Detroit date on 2024 tour
Tickets for the show go on sale Friday.
Nicki Minaj is turning Detroit into Gag City.
The superstar rapper is heading to Little Caesars Arena on April 20, venue officials announced Monday.
Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday via Ticketmaster channels. Citi card holders will have access to a pre-sale at 9 a.m. Thursday.
The show is part of a 30-date North American tour rolled out on Monday. Dates start March 1 in Oakland, California and stretch through May 12 in Austin, Texas. The tour then heads overseas for seven dates in the United Kingdom and Europe.
Minaj released her latest album, "Pink Friday 2," on Dec. 8. She promoted it in a viral campaign called Gag City, a dream Utopia for her followers ("Barbz," they're called), and LCA participated in the trend by throwing up a pic of Minaj on its Instagram using the hashtag #GagCity.
The rapper's last area performance was in July 2015 at DTE Energy Music Theatre.
