Janet Jackson announces first Pine Knob concert in 30 years

Janet Jackson is ready to be "Together Again" with area fans — and Pine Knob.

The pop icon will perform at Pine Knob on July 2 as part of her Together Again Tour, venue officials announced Tuesday. The show will mark her first concert at the Clarkston amphitheater since a July 1994 show on the world tour behind her 1993 album "Janet."

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via Ticketmaster channels. Pre-sales start at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Nelly will join Jackson at the show, part of a 35-date run that kicks off June 4 in Palm Desert, California, and wraps July 30 in Phoenix.

Jackson's last area concert was in May 2023 at Little Caesars Arena.
