Iceland and Detroit will come together when Sigur Rós performs with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra on Sept. 19 at the Masonic Cathedral Theatre, organizers announced Thursday.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. March 8 via axs.com. Presales start at 10 a.m. Monday.

Sigur Rós will perform with the DSO on Sept. 19 at the Masonic Cathedral Theatre in Detroit.

The Icelandic rock band is touring behind its latest album, "Átta," which was released in June 2023.

The Detroit concert kicks off an eight-date run of shows that wraps up Oct. 4 in Austin, Texas.

The other dates on the tour will be performed with the New York-based Wordless Music Orchestra, and only the Detroit show is pulling in a locally based collective.

Sigur Rós' last local appearance was a June 2022 concert at the Masonic Temple.
