Xscape, SWV heading to Detroit on 'Queens of R&B' tour

The ladies of hitmaking '90s R&B acts Xscape and SWV are teaming up for "The Queens of R&B Tour," which will drop by Little Caesars Arena on Aug. 9, promoters announced Tuesday.

Tickets for the show, which will also include performances by Mýa, Total and 702, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, and pre-sales start Tuesday.

Xscape released its debut album "Hummin' Comin' at 'Cha" in 1993, and hit the Top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100 with the singles "Just Kickin' It," "Understanding," "Who Can I Run To," "The Arms of the One Who Loves You" and "My Little Secret."

SWV hit No. 1 with 1993's "Weak" and also scored Top 10 hits with "I'm So Into You," "Right Here/ Human Nature" and "You're the One."

The Little Caesars Arena concert is part of a 30-date tour that kicks off June 27 in Concord, California, and wraps Aug. 18 in Los Angeles.
