Michigan's own Jeff Daniels narrates the introduction video to Sunday's Detroit Lions playoff game, which focuses on several fans and their Lions fandom through the years.

Michigan native Jeff Daniels talks with Lions president Rod Wood before the game.

The Emmy-winner tells the story of two local fans, Ben Capp and Arron Wikaryasz, who were highlighted on television during last Sunday's Lions playoff game.

Capp has been a Lions season ticket holder since 1957, and Wikaryasz was seen on camera crying after the Lions win, an emotional moment since it brought back memories of his late father, Joe, a Lions superfan who took him to games growing up.

"Fans like Ben and Arron, they're the story here, just as much as a team and a city that are suddenly demanding new respect," Daniels says. Watch the clip below.

The video intro — which also tells the story of Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield and his climb back to the top — was posted Sunday by NBC's Sunday Night Football on NBC account on X.

The two minute, 12 second video also features shots of Lafayette Coney Island and the Spirit of Detroit statue, and Detroit vs. Everybody founder and owner Tommey Walker Jr. is seen outside the brand's new flagship store, where he gets to shout the catchphrase he made famous.

Daniels is a longtime Lions fan himself, and knows of those "Silver and Honolulu Blues," which he wrote a song about in 2020.

He also participated in a video with Peyton Manning in October 2022 where the pair tried to lift the Curse of Bobby Layne, which has haunted the Lions for decades. The Lions have been on a roll ever since.

Eminem provided voiceover for the intro video for the Lions Wild Card game against the Los Angeles Rams.
