The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm celebrates its 45th anniversary this year. Through May 11, the museum will host a pop-up exhibit — “Albert Kahn: Creating the Modern World" — on loan from the Albert Kahn Legacy Foundation. One of Detroit’s most prominent architects, Kahn built numerous structures, from the Packard Plant and the Rouge complex to the Fisher Building and the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House. Admission is free for members and $5 for adults ($3 for seniors and students). On March 29 at 7 p.m. in the renovated Calf Barn, there will be a presentation, “Albert Kahn: The Residences” by photographer and architectural historian Dale Carlson. From industrial plants to private homes — Kahn’s legacy stands strong. But who commissioned his work? The presentation will focus on the stories behind the people and their homes.
