Spring is a great time for painting projects.

Angi shares spring tips

Spring and home maintenance go hand in hand. Here, Angie Hicks, co-founder of Angie’s List, which is now Angi, shares some items to tackle on your summer checklist.

April: As the weather warms up, it’s a great time to work on your yard. Think about prepping and painting fences and decks, trimming trees and starting on landscaping projects.

May: Make sure your HVAC system is up and running, so you don’t get caught in a heat wave with an AC system that is not functioning properly. Get your lawn prepped with fertilizer, mulching and other maintenance, and power wash the exterior of your home.

June: When you’re able to open all the windows, consider indoor painting projects. This is also a good month to inspect for pests and contact a termite inspector.

To get a jump on these tasks, line up a pro ahead of time to make sure you can fit into their schedule. For pros in your area, go to angi.com.
