Twin brothers face 43 counts each in gas station shooting
James David DicksonDetroit police are on the lookout for an identical twin brother who faces an identical 43 counts as his sibling – including assault with intent to murder – over a gas station shooting Tuesday on Detroit's west side.
Police say that on Tuesday at 11:05 p.m., at an Exxon Mobil gas station on the 21500 block of Fenkell, twins Garry and Terry Outsey, 32, pulled up to the gas station in a gray Grand Marquis.
One of the brothers, police say, made eye contact with the 33-year-old man who would become the victim. The man was with family and standing by another gas pump.
One of the twins went inside the station, got back into the Grand Marquis and drove off. Police say the twins returned seconds later, got out of the Grand Marquis, and began shooting at the man as he ran. At least one shot hit the victim in his thigh. The victim was privately conveyed to an area hospital, and last listed in stable condition.
On Friday, police arrested Garry Outsey in the area of Greenfield and the Interstate 96 Service Drive and recovered the Grand Marquis believed to have been used in the getaway. Garry is at the Wayne County Jail, records show.
Charges faced by both brothers also include several counts of assault and felony firearm.
