A reward is being offered for information that helps find a young man who has been missing for almost two months.

Stephen McAfee was last seen leaving his residence on Walden Drive in Macomb Township at about 2:30 a.m. on March 10. His current whereabouts are unknown. Attempts to locate him through his cellphone have been unsuccessful.

The $2,500 Crime Stoppers reward will be paid out to any anonymous tipster who helps reunite 19-year-old Stephen Christopher McAfee with his family. The man was last seen around 2:30 a.m. March 10 when he left his home on Walden Drive, officials said.

McAfee lives there with his parents and sister, according to his mother, Suzanne McAfee. A brother lives elsewhere.

"We had the reward implemented for more help in the investigation, along with the Macomb County Sheriff's Office," Suzanne McAfee said.

Family and police have tried to contact him by cellphone but have been unsuccessful, according to the sheriff’s office.

McAfee went missing after speaking with his father early March 10, Suzanne McAfee said.

A reward is being offered for information that helps find a young man who has been missing for almost two months.

"My husband works afternoons. He came home and Stephen asked his father when he would be going to bed," McAfee said. "At that point, he was up. He's a typical teenager, a lot of time they stay up a lot later than we do as adults."

Her son was gone when McAfee woke up for work the next morning, the woman said.

"We believe between 2:30 a.m. and 6 a.m., he left the home," McAfee said.

There were no issues leading up to the young man's disappearance, his mother said.

"We had a nice evening," McAfee said. "There weren't problems, anything like that."

This is the longest the family has gone without hearing from McAfee, his mother said. The man is not believed to have packed any clothing before leaving and he also left behind his cellphone charger.

“I’m concerned if he’s dead or alive,” McAfee said in March.

McAfee said her family has canvassed the area with fliers in hopes of finding her son.

"We've been working very hard, along with the detectives, doing everything," she said. "Conducting searches, passing fliers, adding him to registries."

McAfee said she just wants her son to return home, safe.

"Just come home," she said in a message to the missing man. "We want you home. Everyone is worried. We want you home."

McAfee is 19 years old, 6-foot, 1-inch tall, about 155 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about the youth’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office at (586) 307-9412. Anonymous tipsters also may contact Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) SPEAK-UP or text 274637.
