Gardner was extradited to Michigan on Monday and is the fifth person arraigned in the incident, the Prosecutor's Office said.

Gardner was among six suspects who are accused of carjacking someone outside of Lifetime Fitness on Oct. 23. Gardner and others allegedly held a victim at gunpoint, restrained him in his vehicle and tortured the victim before driving the victim to his home and entering, according to the release.

He is the fifth person arraigned in the incident. Also charged are Angel Andujar-Ruiz, Angel Pantoja, Renado Coleman and Romeo Osorio. The sixth suspect is still at large, prosecutors said.

"It is our duty to ensure that those who commit violent crimes face the full weight of the law," said Prosecutor Peter Lucido in a statement. "Every individual must be held accountable for their actions, ensuring that justice prevails and our society remains secure."

Judge Douglas Shepherd set Gardner's bond at $5 million cash.

Gardner's probable cause hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday.
