A $1 million Mega Millions lottery prize expires Friday afternoon if the winner doesn't come forward by 4:45 p.m., Michigan Lottery officials announced.

The March 17, 2023 winning ticket was sold at a Southfield CVS Pharmacy at 18130 West 10 Mile Road, officials said.

The ticket's winning numbers were 26-28-29-39-49.

Mega Millions tickets are valid for one year from the drawing date.

Since March 17 falls on a Sunday this year, the winner must claim their prize by Friday instead, according to the release.

Friday's Mega Millions jackpot separate drawing has increased to $815 million, the sixth largest Mega Millions jackpot ever won, officials said. The cash option for the jackpot is $385.1 million.

A winning player for that drawing would be the first Mega Millions jackpot winner for 2024, officials said.
