3 killed, 2 hurt in Livingston County crash

Three people were killed and two others injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash Sunday on US-23 in Livingston County, Michigan State Police said.

Officials said a 22-year-old man, a 44-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl died in the crash.

Two men, 44 and 18, were taken to a hospital.

The younger man is in critical condition while the older man, who was driving the vehicle, is in stable condition, according to authorities.

Investigators said all five were related and they are not releasing further details about the victims until next of kin have been notified.

State troopers were called at about 8:30 a.m. Sunday to a location on south US-23 near Fausett Road in Tyrone Township for a report of a single-vehicle crash, they said.

According to a preliminary investigation, the vehicle was traveling south on the highway when the driver lost control, the car left the road and overturned.

Police said no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
