A Michigan State Police bomb squad in northern Michigan disposed of two explosive devices in two incidents Sunday, officials said.

In the first one, the bomb squad was called to help the Antrim County Sheriff's Office. A homeowner in Kewadin called 911 after finding a military explosive that washed up on the shore of Grand Traverse Bay, they said.

Deputies arrived and called the state police bomb squad. The bomb squad took the device, identified as a Mark-25 Marine Marker military flare, and properly disposed of it, authorities said.
