A Tecumseh man was killed last weekend after the motorcycle he drove was struck by a muscle car in Lenawee County, officials said.

Michigan State Police troopers were called at about 2:20 p.m. Sunday to a location on Britton Highway and Clinton-Macon Road in Macon Township for a report of a collision between a motorcycle and a car.

Troopers arrived and found the 29-year-old motorcycle operator dead at the scene.

An 89-year-old Milan woman drove the vehicle, a red Chevrolet Camaro, at the time of the crash, police said. She was not injured.

According to a preliminary investigation, a black Ducati motorcycle was traveling north on Britton Highway when the driver of the Camaro, which was heading west on Clinton-Macon Road, disregarded a stop sign at the intersection.

Police said the Camaro crossed the intersection, the motorcycle struck the car on the driver's side.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the crash should call the Michigan State Police at (734) 242-3500.
