An Ann Arbor man accused of stabbing a woman and a girl this week in a domestic dispute has been charged, police said.

Munsif Altork, 49, was arraigned Tuesday in 15th District Court in Ann Arbor on two counts of assault with intent to murder and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, officials and court records said.

A judge set his bond at $2 million and scheduled his next hearing for April 25.

If convicted, he faces up to life in prison for each assault with intent to murder charge and up to four years for each count of assault with a dangerous weapon.

Altork's attorney could not be reached immediately Wednesday for comment.

Police said officers were called at about 7:30 a.m. Monday to a home in the 2900 block of Braeburn Circle for a report of a stabbing and a domestic dispute.

They arrived and found Altork's wife, 42, and a 15-year-old girl with stab wounds. Investigators said they also found another child inside the home. The child was not injured, officials said.

Authorities said the suspect in the stabbing, later identified as Altork, ran away from the home but was arrested near the scene.

They said his wife remains in critical condition and the teen is in stable condition.
