The Detroit News

Monroe County Central Dispatch is having an issue Sunday with its non-emergency phone line.

Those calling the line, 734-243-7070, may get a message saying, “Your call cannot be completed at this time, please try again later,” according to a press release from the central dispatch office in Monroe.

Callers are asked to contact Central Dispatch at 734-241-2727 and 734-241-2728 for non-emergencies and to try again if they get a busy signal.

There are no interruptions to 911 or the Text-to-911 Service, but callers are asked not to dial 911 unless they have a true emergency.
