Ann Arbor police said officers found a car resting vertically early Friday when they responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash.

Most people know straight, angle and parallel when it comes to parking a car, but a Ypsilanti woman went with vertical in Ann Arbor early Friday.

Ann Arbor police said officers were called at about 3:40 a.m. to Lincoln Avenue and Wells Street for a report of a single-vehicle crash.

They arrived and found a vehicle positioned vertically in the air and four women standing nearby, authorities said.

According to a preliminary investigation, a 24-year-old woman was driving the car with three passengers when she struck a guide wire attached to a utility pole. Her vehicle ended up landing on a street sign, officials said.

No injuries were reported, police said.

Officers arrested the driver for drunken driving.

"This is another reminder of the dangers of driving drunk," officials said in a statement. "It was very fortunate there were no serious injuries in this incident."
