Driver dies in White Lake Twp. rollover crash

A 19-year-old man died early Monday after his car was in a rollover crash in White Lake Township, police said.

Officers were called at about 4:30 a.m. Monday to the scene of a rollover crash on Cooley Lake Road near Long Lane.

Medics arrived and tended to the vehicle's sole occupant but the Commerce Township resident died from his injuries at the scene, officials said.

According to a preliminary investigation, a small SUV left the roadway, struck two cement pylons then a tree and rolled over before coming to rest.

Authorities said the crash remains under investigation and it is not known if alcohol was a factor.
