Two Farmington Hills residential fires put out on Friday night

A Friday night housefire triggered ammunition to go off in a Farmington Hills home, the Farmington Hills municipal government posted on Facebook.

Local firefighters responded to a two-story house fire on Silken Glen Drive around 8:15 p.m., according to the post.

Officials believe the fire was accidental.

The Farmington Hills Fire Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Farmington Hills firefighters also put out a second fire at the Edge Apartments an hour later on Summit Drive, according to the post.

The West Bloomfield Fire Department helped put out the kitchen fire, according to the post.
