2 dead in fire at Madison Heights home

Two people died Wednesday in a Madison Heights house fire, officials said.

First responders were called to the fire in the 50 block of West Harwood Avenue near John R and Lincoln Avenue before 10 a.m., according to authorities.

Firefighters went into the single-story home and found two people dead, police said.

Officials said the investigation into the cause of the fire and the two victims' deaths is ongoing.
