Chipotle worker stable after getting shot in Southfield; suspect arrested

A Detroit man is in stable condition after he was shot in the leg Friday evening at a Chipotle in Southfield, the city's police said.

A 21-year-old Chipolte worker suffered a non-life-threatening wound and was transported to a local hospital, Southfield police reported in a news release. The 32-year-old male suspect from Detroit fled and was later arrested, according to police.

Southfield police and fire officials arrived to a Chipotle at 26147 Evergreen Road in Southfield at about 6:52 p.m. Friday after receiving reports of shots fired. They found a worker from Detroit had been shot in the leg, according to the investigation.

The male suspect fled the scene but was found and arrested, police said.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
