Oakland Co. deputies continue search for Independence Twp. woman

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating an Independence Township woman who is believed to be in or near Waterford Oaks County Park.

Lacie Nicole Santia, 38, was reported missing by her family Saturday morning. The Sheriff's Office said her family was concerned about her emotional state.

Deputies found her unoccupied vehicle Saturday in the parking lot of the county park with the keys in the ignition.

Santia is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds, with dark brown hair and dark eyes. She was last seen wearing black yoga pants and a black athletic shirt.

The Sheriff’s Office Drone Unit, search and rescue team, K-9 unit, aviation unit as well as Waterford Township police, U.S. Border Patrol, and Metroparks Police Search and Rescue Team participated in a search.

The Sheriff’s Office said it resumed the search Sunday.
