Westland police seek tips to find missing 75-year-old man

Westland police Tuesday issued a missing endangered alert for a 75-year-old man who left his home Monday.

James Sanford of Westland left his residence in the 37000 block of Westwood Circle near of Joy and Newburgh roads around 2 p.m. Monday, police said in a news release.

Sanford was described 5-foot-9 and 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue sweat pants, a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt, black gym shoes and a blue "USA Baseball" ball cap.

Sanford has grey facial hair on his chin, police said.

"Sanford is in need of medication that he left home without," police reported.
