Signing Day recap: Nick Marsh, Metro Detroit athletes ink Letter of Intent
Wednesday marks the beginning of college football's early signing period, which means plenty of news for the Division 1 schools across the state of Michigan.
Michigan will ink what looks to be a top-20 recruiting class in the nation, while Michigan State's newly-hired head coach Jonathan Smith will bring in his first class.

Metro Detroit recruits finalize college recruitment
A handful of players from the Metro Detroit area made their college football commitments official on Wednesday. Nick Marsh, a 4-star wide receiver out of River Rouge, inked his letter of intent with Michigan State.

In addition, Southfield A and T's 3-star quarterback Isaiah Marshall signed his National Letter of Intent with Kansas early this morning. Detroit Cass Tech's edge Noah Bishop will stay in state, bring his 3-star talent over to Western Michigan.

Michigan State flips 3-star LB commit
Michigan State flipped a second recruit Wednesday afternoon, adding linebacker Brady Pretzlaff to the 2024 class. The 3-star LB from Gaylord, Michigan was originally committed to Minnesota and had offers from Central Michigan, Illinois and Stanford.
Transfer LB from Maryland heading to Michigan
Michigan notched its first commit from the transfer portal Wednesday afternoon, welcoming former 4-star linebacker Jaishawn Barham from Maryland. He had a promising couple of seasons with the Terrapins, racking up nearly 100 career tackles, an interception and seven sacks.

Michigan lands commitment from 4-star edge
Edge Lugard Edokpayi officially committed to Michigan Wednesday afternoon, choosing the Wolverines over a host of Big Ten schools. Maryland, Rutgers and Minnesota all offered, but the 4-star, top-300 prospect out of Maryland looks to be taking his talents to Ann Arbor.
Son of former Lions' OL commits to Nebraska
The long and winding recruitment of Dylan Raiola (son of former Detroit Lion offensive lineman Dominic Raiola) ended early and with no drama Wednesday with the highly touted quarterback signing a national letter of intent with Nebraska.
Raiola is a consensus top 10 recruit in the class of 2024 and the son of former Cornhuskers offensive lineman Dominic Raiola, but it took him a while to choose Nebraska. He was first verbally committed to Ohio State and then Georgia. His family even moved the Atlanta suburbs for him to play his final high school season.
But earlier this week he announced he was flipping to Nebraska and then made it official Wednesday.

Michigan State flips 3-star QB from Utah State
The Spartans notched an unexpected commitment Wednesday morning, adding quarterback Ryland Jesse to their 2024 recruiting class. The 3-star product out of California was originally committed to Utah State and had offers from Nevada, San Diego State and Oregon State (head coach Jonathan Smith's former team). According to 247 Sports, Jesse is a top-100 quarterback in the nation.
