Derrick Harmon won't be going anywhere after all.

The 6-foot-5 defensive tackle took to social media on Wednesday to announce he'll be returning to Michigan State for the 2024 seasons.

Defensive lineman Derrick Harmon will stay at Michigan State, he revealed Wednesday on social media.

Harmon, a redshirt sophomore from Detroit, entered the transfer portal earlier this month after Jonathan Smith was named the Spartans' next head coach. But Harmon decided he'll be staying in East Lansing for a fourth season.

The message "I'm back" flashed across the screen midway through a video montage of Harmon in Michigan State gear that he posted on X, the social-media platform formerly known as Twitter.

Harmon recorded 40 tackles in 11 games during the 2023 season. He's posted 69 total tackles, including 3.5 sacks, as well as one forced fumble and one fumble recovery across three seasons.

Harmon has two years of eligibility remaining.
