The news of players entering the transfer portal should soon come to an end, but at least one more Michigan State player submitted his paperwork before the Tuesday deadline.

Spartans defensive back Khary Crump entered the transfer portal, a team spokesperson said Wednesday.

Michigan State defensive back Khary Crump is in the transfer portal.

Listed at 6 feet and weighing 173 pounds, Crump is a product of Los Angeles who started his college career at Arizona before transferring to Michigan State, where he played the last three seasons. During his time with the Spartans, Crump recorded two tackles and a pass deflection while appearing in 10 games.

Crump was also one of seven Michigan State players who were charged during a fight that broke out in the Michigan Stadium tunnel after the 2022 Michigan-Michigan State game. Crump was the only player who initially faced a felony charge, but he later pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges and sentence to 12 months of probation and 80 hours of community service in January 2023.

Crump was suspended for the first part of last season. He played in only the final three games, registering 16 snaps on defense while also making six appearances on special teams.

Crump is among more than a dozen other Michigan State players who’ve entered the portal during this spring window. Other portal departures include defensive linemen Simeon Barrow Jr., Derrick Harmon, Jalen Berger and Bai Jobe

Tuesday was the final day for players to submit paperwork to enter the portal during the spring period, but it could take schools sometimes up to two days to complete the process.
