Fitzpatrick pitches seven-inning perfect game for Wayne State

Wayne State pitcher Karter Fitzpatrick pitched a perfect game in a seven-inning game in the opener of a doubleheader against Purdue Northwest in Detroit on Saturday.
Fitzpatrick (8-2) needed 64 pitches and struck out seven.
The perfect game was the first one for a Wayne State pitcher since the NCAA began keeping records on them in 1957.
The game lasted 75 minutes and the Warriors won it, 3-0. Drew Hill and Logan Van Sicklen homered for Wayne State (28-18).
Wayne State also won the second game, 8-3.
