Michigan basketball’s roster rebuild is coming together under new coach Dusty May.

Auburn transfer Tre Donaldson announced his commitment to the Wolverines in a social media post on Sunday, making him the fourth addition in three days.

Tre Donaldson (3) dished out a team-high 112 assists as a sophomore last season at Auburn.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound guard, who was on campus for a visit over the weekend, spent two seasons with the Tigers and has two years of eligibility remaining.

Donaldson averaged 6.7 points, 3.2 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 19.3 minutes per game as a sophomore on an Auburn team that finished 27-8, tied for second in the SEC standings and won the conference tournament title before it was upset in the first round of the NCAA Tournament by Yale.

Donaldson, a native of Tallahassee, Florida, started in 10 of the 35 games he played and split time as Auburn’s point guard with Aden Holloway. He led the team with 112 total assists and ranked fourth in the SEC with a 28.4% assist rate.

He also shot 50.4% on 2-pointers (61-for-121), 41.2% from 3-point range (28-for-68) and 78.4% from the free-throw line (29-for-37).

Donaldson will join a new-look backcourt that will include four-star guard Justin Pippen and North Texas grad transfer Rubin Jones. Pippen and Jones committed on Friday, one day before All-Ivy League center Danny Wolf announced he was transferring from Yale and heading to Ann Arbor.

The four recent pledges mean Michigan has filled at least seven of the allotted 13 scholarship spots. That total includes returning players Will Tschetter and George Washington III, as well as incoming freshman Durral Brooks. It doesn’t account for Nimari Burnett and Jace Howard, who have remaining eligibility but haven’t publicly announced if they’re coming back next season.
