Michigan is in the running for another one of the nation’s top point guards in the 2019 class.
D.J. Carton, a four-star guard and Iowa's top-ranked prospect, announced on Twitter Thursday night that the Wolverines made the cut for his final six, along with Ohio State, Iowa, Indiana, Marquette and Xavier.
Carton (6-foot-1, 180 pounds) is rated the No. 33 player in the nation and No. 4 at his position in the 247Sports Composite rankings. He received a scholarship offer from Michigan coach John Beilein following an in-home visit last month.
Carton’s announcement comes a day after the Wolverines missed out on Tyrese Maxey, a five-star point guard from Texas who committed to Kentucky.
