The Detroit Lions' first playoff victory since the 1991 season averaged 35.8 million viewers across all platforms, including 31.9 million on NBC stations to make it television's most-watched prime-time show since February's Super Bowl on Fox, NBC announced Tuesday.

The Lions' 24-23 victory over former Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams at Ford Field is the third-most watched NFL wild-card game on NBC since 1988.

It peaked in the second quarter with 38 million viewers, according to Nielsen custom fast national data, and was televised on NBC and Peacock.

The Lions are back in Detroit, and back on NBC, when they play host to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in an NFC divisional round game at Ford Field. Kickoff is at 3 p.m.
