Lions announce uniform combo for NFC Championship at 49ers
The icy whites have a shot at redemption.
The Detroit Lions will wear their white jersey, white pants uniform combo when they look to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl as the road team in Sunday’s NFC Championship at Levi’s Stadium against the San Francisco 49ers.
Including playoffs, the Lions are 13-1 in monochromatic uniforms this season — 4-1 in all-white — with the lone loss coming in a controversial defeat at the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17.
The team wore their all-blue uniform in home playoff victories this season over the Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, advancing to 7-0 in that combo. They're 2-0 in the alternate gray uniform.
In addition to Dallas, the Lions wore the white-on-white combo for wins at Kansas City (Week 1), Green Bay (Week 4), Los Angeles Chargers (Week 10) and New Orleans (Week 13).
The Lions are 1-4 in two-color looks this season.
