Allen Park — The Detroit Lions added to the team's 2024 offseason roster, signing offensive lineman Netane Muti to a Reserve/Futures contract on Tuesday.

A sixth-round pick out of Fresno State in 2020, Muti spent his first three seasons with the Denver Broncos, appearing in 20 games, including four starts. He was with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023, primarily as a member of the team's practice squad.

The Lions added to the team's 2024 offseason roster, signing offensive lineman Netane Muti to a Reserve/Futures contract on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-3, 307-pounder suffered multiple, serious injuries during his college career, missing most of two seasons with separate Achilles injuries. He was also sidelined much of 2019 with a Lisfranc break in his foot. In limited action, he proved to be an outstanding pass protector, allowing only 13 quarterback pressures and one sack on 697 pass-blocking snaps across three seasons.

Coming out of college, the only athletic testing he did was the bench press, where he posted an elite 44 reps.

As a professional, Muti has logged 468 offensive snaps, splitting him time between left and right guard. The Lions have a lot of work to do at the position this offseason with starters Jonah Jackson and Graham Glasgow both set to be unrestricted free agents.

Muti will join a depth chart that should include Colby Sorsdal, a fifth-round pick in 2023, and Kayode Awosika, an exclusive-rights free agent who started five regular-season games as an injury replacement the past two seasons, as well as the team's recent NFC Championship.
