Christian Mahogany is a well-rounded interior offensive lineman who unexpectedly fell to the Lions in the sixth round of Saturday's NFL Draft.

He was a three-year starter at Boston College and is defined by his nastiness at the point of attack. The Athletic's Dane Brugler listed Mahogany as the No. 99 player on his big board and the seventh-ranked offensive guard.

Boston College offensive lineman Christian Mahogany earned All-ACC first-team honors last season.

A three-star recruit in high school, Mahogany attended Paramus Catholic in New Jersey and was the No. 78 guard in the 2019 recruiting class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He didn't begin playing offensive line until 2017.

Mahogany's first college season came in the pandemic-shortened 2020 year. He was second-team All-ACC in 2021 but suffered a knee injury that prematurely ended his 2022 season.

Mahogany was heavily recruited to transfer entering the 2023 season but he chose to stay with Boston College. He was first-team All-ACC and a 2024 East-West Shrine Bowl participant.

Quotable: "Mahogany needs to play with more control, especially in space, to survive versus NFL defenders, but he plays like a bouncer outside of a club, looking to bash heads with power and forceful hands. He projects as a guard-versatile NFL starter, ideally suited for a downhill run team," said Brugler of The Athletic.
